  1. We are in the midst of negotiating with Mad City of Olathe, KS. We “bought” windows to “match” the dark woodwork of our 1912 home. The vendor offered no actual sample of what we thought we were buying-just a choice of color from their website – which did not match at all the windows and frames that were delivered. We now have to cough up almost $14,000 for windows that don’t match our home or LOSE nearly $14,000!!! May we join your law suit??

  2. I was also duped by mad city with high pressure sales tactics to buy a shower that will never have to be cleaned because of the way it is made. Thus I paid a lot of money. I feel like this is false advertising. I have placed a claim in at the Missouri Attorney General and the consumer protection agency. I feel like I should be able to take them to court.

  3. I just had a representative from Mad City windows come to my house last night. He showed us thier windows which are made in Ohio. I was getting a quote for 26 windows for my house. I did sign a paper that gives me 72 hours to back out. BUT, I paid for half up front and the other half at completion. My son researched the company and showed me this lawsuit article. So I immediately stopped payment on the check. Only have to pay 20 bicks for this service. But it saves me $23,673.00 dollars. I guess I should do more research next time.

  4. We had a replacement walk-in shower installed by Mad City. At first we were happy with the work done. A supervisor came out and checked the installation and approved it. I was hospitalized the day after the installation. When I came home a week later I found the the 5″ entryway I had been promised by the salesman had grown to close to 7.5″. This too tall for me to enter and exit. After 3 calls Jacob agreed to take a look. He failed to call me back. I called again today and Jacob finally responded. He said the contract did not say 5″. I told him again that the salesman did say 5″. Now we have found a corner that was not sealed correctly. Jacob said they would repair the corner seal but not the height problem. I am old and disabled and deserve better than Jacob’s lack of customer service

  5. Ordered a shower from Olathe mad city July 13. They came aug 31 and took out old shower.it is now sept 18 and still no shower. They sent a worker out sept7 and wanted us to sign off on what they had done. We said no and they said they would put a lien on our house. Called Wisconsin sept11 and they said no lien. Still have not heard when or if we are getting a shower. We are in our late70s and we really need this shower.

  6. The sales tactic is high pressure. Both my sister and I used there walk-in shower and bathtub surrounded service. The price difference between both houses was astounding. She got a walk-in shower for one bathroom and I got the walk-in shower and a bathtub surrounded for two bathrooms. My sister’s one bathroom was $3,000 more with no glass doors. Go figure. How do we get in on this lawsuit?

  7. I was looking for a walk in shower as l got arthritis and I had a nice crawl tub but it wasn’t working for me anymore, so when I contact mad City they came out they always give you this no pressure, then they give you offer that you think is nice but it’s only good for that evening, and I did sign the papers but I waited a year to to get them in the price was over $25,000 for just a walk-in shower I didn’t do my homework, but I introduce mad City to my sister and she got the price two bathrooms for way under what I was going to do for one, she told somebody about mad City and their bathroom went all the way down to 8,000 and they declined it because the offer was getting cheaper and cheaper so they was willing to take any price to do the work, they was getting two bathrooms and it started off at $25,000 all the way to $8,000 I would just like some of my money back. I had to call him back up once because the material around the windows was turning colors he told me I had hard water.

  8. I thought Mad city was professional _ I am totally disappointed with the service. I guess I got had to – You want something nice and people take you for granted. Welcome back to Illinois.

  9. Yes the Television says 18 months no payments for 12 months and I asked why am I being charged interest a month later after the install they claim I wasn’t qualified for neither but my credit was seven something the interest is very high I feel I was misled false advertisement so I called and they said that was the company they picked if I had known I would never had no interest in buying false advertisement

  10. I PURCHASED WINDOWS 9/5/23 THEY CAME TO INSTALL BUT DIDNT HAVE MY CORRECT SCREENS THEN THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME FOR THE SCREENS. I TOLD THEM NO IM NOT PAYING EXTRA FOR SCREENS WHEN PURCHASED I TOLD THEM I WANTED THE SAME AS WINDOWS I HAD BEFORE AND THE SALEMAN SAID DONT WORRY WE GOT YOU. THEN I WAS TOLD IT WOULD TAKE 6 WEEKS TO ORDER SO I TOLD THE FINANCE COMPANY TO HOLD PAYING MAD CITY UNTIL I RECEIVE MY SCREENS THYE PAID THEM AND I STILL DONT HAVE MY SCREENS AND ITS 10/24/23. I CALLED LEFT MESSAGE AND TEXT NO REPLY.

  11. I purchased a kitchen from this company for 25k I have a small kitchen. I’ve never seen such subpar materials and low quality. In this amount only included drawers and doors. No new boxes. All measurements were wrong. Sent countertops with raw edges. Sink countertop was so messed up that they offered to get me quartz countertops . At this time the countertops are the best part of my kitchen and this company didn’t do them. Buyer beware

  12. They definitely took advantage of my elderly grandfather, charged him exclusively for windows that were installed by people who clearly had no experience. the used shoe molding for window stop on replacement windows and they 2 and 3 pieced the shoe molding in less than 40″ . completely sub standard work. I believe they far over charged him at almost $4,000.00 per window. some of them were mere slab / non operating windows no bigger than 18″x 40″ .

  13. boy I wish I had known about this lawsuit. I bought windows Jan 2022, they all leak and one window I could see straight thru to the outside where the weather stripping was. I have had this company out 3 times to fix problems and they aren’t fixed. I’ve had to put plastic up on windows the last two winters. Jan 2023 I woke to my living room at 61 degrees. I wish I had the money to replace every window they installed, as it is I will be replacing the worst ones. I feel like I was lied to as the sales person made it sound like they manufacture their windows. The inspector from MN still has not closed out my building permit due to poor workmanship. I plan on talking to a lawyer, but I’m pretty sure fees are going to eat up what I could get back

  14. I too was pressured by salesman, not receiving the financing as advertised. They do not use employees in Minnesota only contractors. They ruined my indoor water shut off valve. Delayed installation by 2 months. Installation was terrible it did not meet home inspection stantards. When they returned to perform the corrections the contractor said the home inspection was not as smart as he was. Insulting the female builing inspector. When I called to request customer service to recaulk missed areas I received no response until after I told them I would be posting a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I will try to file a lawsuit with the Minnesota Attorney General. Unfair business practices

  15. I wish I can join in on this lawsuit! I too have had issues with mad City windows! I had them installed November 2023. I live in a mobile home and decided to do some renovating and they bragged about their windows and how they were almost Bulletproof LOL I laughed when they said that. anyway when they installed the larger of the window in my living room they said that they had to put a 2×4 in the wall to support the window. me being a green horn at home ownership I took him at their word. this was our first winter with these windows and they were not sealed properly and not to mention the wood paneling started Feathering underneath the window framing and now has black mold. one of the windows and walls actually moves because I feel the weight of the window was too heavy for my mobile home. I had to ask them why they weren’t putting two smaller windows in and they could not give me a straight answer so now I feel like my wall is bowing and I feel it’s not safe. Mad City windows does not return my messages. in the smallest window that is in the kitchen above the sink they put the wrong screen in and I had to wait 3 months for them to put the Right One In.

  16. High pressure sales people and a lousy product. Windows formed ice build up after first winter in Minnesota. Sloppy installation with a cheap felt strip and poor quality window for the price. Customer service is horrible and they always pass the problem off to some one else. Lousy warranty and in all I want the windows replaced with something of quality. Terrible company , would not refer them to my worst enemy.
