Its president is Jodie Robertson

The new NABL president is not a typical bond lawyer. Jodie Robertson didn’t set out to be one. She earned her economics degree from the University of North Carolina and went on to graduate from Harvard Law School. She began her career practicing corporate bankruptcy law and representing both creditors and debtors, but soon made the transition to municipal finance. Robertson has extensive experience in both corporate and municipal finance and has also worked as a financial planner and corporate lawyer.

Robertson’s background has spanned public finance, banking, bankruptcy, and health care. She has served as counsel to issuers, banks, and underwriters in numerous tax-exempt bond issues. Robertson has also been a member of the American College of Bond Counsel. She has received numerous accolades and honors, including inclusion in Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, and North Carolina Super Lawyers.
